Can I cancel at any time?
Yes. Monthly and annual memberships can be cancelled at any time — your free Observer account continues either way, with no loss of access.
Do the calculators replace a professional valuation?
No. The VDH calculators are professional cross-check tools designed to assist registered valuers in testing assumptions and methodology. They do not constitute a formal valuation and should not be relied upon as such. All outputs require professional judgement and interpretation by a qualified practitioner.
Are the sessions CPD-accredited?
We are working toward formal SACPVP CPD recognition. In the meantime, members receive documentation of session attendance and learning outcomes that can be submitted as self-directed CPD activity.
I am based outside South Africa. Can I join?
Absolutely. Approximately 20% of our community is based outside South Africa. While many tools and resources are calibrated to South African standards and legislation, the discussion community and methodology content is broadly applicable across African markets.
How do I access the platform after joining?
Once your membership is confirmed you will receive login credentials for the VDH platform. All content, tools, and community features are accessible from your member dashboard on valuationdiscussionhour.com.
Can our firm contribute as an organisation?
Yes. Many firms prefer to support VDH as an organisation rather than through one person’s account. The VDH Contributor programme is a firm-level membership, invoiced annually and priced excluding VAT: Practice (5 seats) R12,000 · Firm (15 seats) R25,000 · Institution (40 seats) R35,000 · Academic R6,000.
